*Please grind the Sumi ink using an inkstone before use. Firstly, grind it thoroughly. If you desire a lighter shade, add water to the heavily ground Sumi ink to dilute it before use. Diluting a dark shade will result in a color with strength even when lighter.
*This authentic Sumi ink can be widely used for traditional sumi-e painting, picture letters, ink wash painting, calligraphy art, and more.
*With special permission, we are selling Mr. Horiike's Kishu Sumi and SAIEMBOKU Series in our original packaging. For formal gifts or gestures of appreciation, we offer a luxurious package with a paulownia box and rayon chirimen fabric to add an elegant touch

Mr. Horiike is the first sumi ink stick artisan in Japan to develop and introduce colorful sumi ink stick or “Saiemboku. After being featured and gaining popularity in the book 'Gokujouhin in the Study' (published by Shogakukan Bunko), he experienced a significant breakthrough on the online shopping site of KATEIGAHO, one of the prestigious magazines.

Since then, he has continued to expand his product line as the SAIEMBOKU series, introducing various colors, and now the color variations exceed 40 !!
