Shipping Policy

At rimpamura, we are committed to delivering authentic Japanese craftsmanship safely and efficiently to customers around the world. Every order is carefully prepared and packed in Japan before shipment.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel orders to destinations where import regulations, trade restrictions, or carrier limitations prevent us from providing reliable delivery.


1. Shipping Destinations

We currently ship to selected countries and regions where DHL Express service is available.

Available destinations are displayed during checkout. If your country or region is not available, we are unfortunately unable to accept your order at this time.

Shipping destinations may change without prior notice due to customs regulations, carrier restrictions, or operational considerations.


2. Shipping Method

All international orders are shipped from Japan via DHL Express.

To ensure secure and reliable delivery, customers cannot select an alternative shipping carrier.


3. Order Processing

Orders are generally processed and dispatched within 5 business days after payment has been confirmed.

Orders are processed Monday through Friday, excluding Japanese national holidays.

During periods of high demand, exhibitions, holidays, or severe weather, processing may take longer than usual. If a significant delay occurs, we will notify you by email.


4. Estimated Delivery Time

After dispatch, estimated delivery times are:

  • North America: 4–7 business days
  • Europe: 4–7 business days
  • Australia & New Zealand: 4–7 business days
  • Other destinations: 4–10 business days

These delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Delivery may be delayed due to customs inspections, public holidays, weather conditions, transportation disruptions, or other circumstances beyond our control.


5. Shipping Charges

Shipping charges are calculated automatically based on the destination and the total weight of your order.

The exact shipping cost will be displayed during checkout before payment is completed.


6. Customs Duties, Import Taxes and Fees

All international orders are shipped on a DAP (Delivered At Place) basis.

The product price and shipping charges do not include:

  • Import duties
  • Customs duties
  • VAT, GST, or other import taxes
  • Customs brokerage fees
  • DHL handling or advancement fees
  • Any other charges imposed by the destination country

These charges are determined by the customs authorities of the destination country and, where applicable, are the responsibility of the recipient.

If customs authorities or DHL require payment before delivery, the recipient must complete the payment in accordance with local regulations.

As import regulations vary between countries, rimpamura cannot estimate or guarantee the amount of these charges.


7. Customs Clearance

International shipments may be subject to customs inspection.

Customs clearance procedures are conducted solely by the customs authorities of the destination country and are beyond our control.

Any delays caused by customs inspections or clearance procedures do not constitute grounds for cancellation, refund, or compensation.


8. Tracking

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your DHL tracking number.

You can monitor your shipment through DHL's official tracking service.


9. Delivery Requirements

Please provide:

  • A complete street address (P.O. Boxes are not accepted)
  • A valid telephone number
  • A valid email address

DHL or customs authorities may contact you regarding customs clearance or delivery arrangements.

Failure to provide accurate contact information may result in delivery delays or returned shipments.


10. Refused or Undeliverable Shipments

If a shipment is returned to rimpamura due to any of the following reasons:

  • Refusal to accept delivery
  • Failure to pay applicable import duties, taxes, or carrier fees
  • Incorrect or incomplete shipping address
  • Failure to complete customs procedures
  • Failure to receive the shipment within the carrier's holding period

the order will be treated as a returned shipment.

In such cases, any refund will be issued after deducting, where applicable:

  • Original shipping charges
  • Return shipping charges
  • Customs charges
  • DHL handling or administrative fees
  • Any other costs incurred as a result of the return

If these costs exceed the value of the order, no refund may be available.


11. Damaged or Lost Shipments

If your shipment arrives visibly damaged, or if your package appears to be lost during transit, please contact us as soon as possible.

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • Photographs of the package (if damaged)
  • A description of the issue

We will work with DHL to investigate the shipment and assist you in resolving the matter.


12. Shipping Restrictions

Certain products may not be available for shipment to specific countries due to local import regulations.

rimpamura reserves the right to decline or cancel orders when shipping restrictions, customs regulations, trade restrictions, or carrier limitations prevent us from completing delivery safely and legally.
