【彩煙墨:紀州松煙】 Arita Porcelain suzuri (URA) & Colorful Sumi ink
Arita-yaki Porcelain inkstone, known for its translucent white porcelain, and the popular "Saiemboku" series developed by Masao Horiike, the shokunin (artisan) behind Japan's first colorful ink, are combined in this special set featuring a colored sumi ink. Suitable for a wide range of uses, from authentic sumi-e painting to picture letters, ink paintings, and calligraphy art.
The white inkstone makes it easy to see the shade of the ink, so you can enjoy the beauty of the gorgeous colored ink as well as the time you spend grinding the ink with a rich mind.
We recommend ARITA porcelain suzuri not only because of its beautiful white porcelain, easy-to-handle size, and light weight, but also because it is easy to care for. Just a little of water easily removes ink stains therefore you can keep the whiteness of the suzuri.
The white suzuri makes it easy to see the shade of the ink, so you can enjoy the beauty of the gorgeous colored ink as well as the time you spend grinding the ink with a rich mind.
In this Arita Porcelain suzuri series, there are two types: OMOTE (you grind sumi ink on the patterned side) and URA (you grind sumi ink on the plain white side). This one is from the URA series.
