AMEHATA SUZURI:The Inkstone Made from "Amehata Maseki" Stone
AMEHATA SUZURI is crafted from a stone material called "Amehata Maseki," which was discovered approximately 300 years ago.
It is characterized by its beautiful, deep black luster, low water absorption, and excellent ability to grind ink (sumi-ori), making it ideal for smooth and consistent ink preparation.
The suzuri inkstone in the photo was crafted by Masami Amamiya.
